LingPipe 3.9 Released

by

Yatta! CRFs for tagging and chunking and a whole lot more are out and available for download from the usual place:

The home page details the updates. Major changes in addition to CRFs include a new tag package to which HMMs were retrofitted, serialization for tokenized LMs, updates to 2010 MEDLINE, and some new utility methods and classes.

4.0 Up Next

We’re no longer planning to adopt the AGPL license, but we are still planning major changes for 4.0, including getting rid of all the currently deprecated classes and methods. Many existing classes are likely to be relocated.

Hopefully this will be done soon, as we’re not planning any new functionality for 4.0. Yet.
